Hoppin’ Half 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon

This family event is a great way to celebrate Spring and enjoy one of the best parks in the city.

Kid’s Cottontail Fun Run – If you have a child participating in this run, just about a quarter mile, be sure to register them – no cost for youth 10 and under!

Old Fashioned Sack Race – There will be good ol’ burlap sacks laid out at the event site, with a Start and Finish Line staked out. Get out there before or after the 5K/10K, throw yourself into the burlap sack and see if you still have a little bit of kid left in you!

Easter “Son” Rise Service

Come out to the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park for an Easter “Son” Rise Service. Several local churches throughout Castle Rock will be participating in a time of worshiping our Risen Lord – Jesus Christ and listening to a special message. Service starts at 6:30 a.m. and coffee, doughnuts and pastries will be provided from local businesses.


Copper Mountain Sunsation Event 

April 15-16, 2017

Celebrate springtime in the Rockies with Copper’s annual Sunsation festival. With free live music, Red Bull Slopesoakers, High Fives Shred-a-Thon and the World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt, close out the season in style. This year’s headliners are Robert Randolph and the Family Band and Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys!

Steamboat Springs Cardboard Classic

The Cardboard Classic is Steamboat’s traditional rite of spring celebrating over three decades of fun. This event features homemade crafts constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape and masking tape racing down the face of Headwall to a hysterical finish.
